Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has approved a budget of Rs 4.96 billion for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives. The Ministry of Finance has approved the amount in the first phase.
The Finance Ministry has said that the budget will be released again if there is a demand later. The Election Commission had asked the government for Rs 7 billion.
In 2079, the government had spent Rs 8.5 billion for the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies.
