Madhesh Province’s 25 local units still without budget

. As many as 25 local levels in Madhesh Province have not been able to present their budgets even after four months of the current fiscal year.

According to the constitutional provision, the federal government should present the budget on May 29, the provincial government on June 15 and the local level on June 27 every year.TAG_OPEN_div_16 Of the total 136 local levels in Madhes province, 112 have presented their budgets but 24 have not presented their budgets.

According to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Rajbiraj Municipality, Agnisair Krishnasavaran Rural Municipality, Balan Bihun Rural Municipality and Kalyanpur Municipality have not presented their budgets.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Similarly, Dhangadhimai Municipality, Sukhipur Municipality of Siraha, Kshireshwor Municipality, Nagarain Municipality, Aurahi Rural Municipality, Kamala Municipality and Janakandini Rural Municipality of Siraha have not been able to present their budgets for the current fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_12

Similarly, Dhanauji Rural Municipality of Dhanusha, Sonam Rural Municipality of Mahottari, Malangawa Municipality, Harion Municipality and Chandranagar Rural Municipality of Sarlahi and Ramnagar Rural Municipality, Katahariya Municipality of Rautahat, Dewahi Gonahi Municipality, Fatuwa Bijayapur Municipality, Yamunamai Rural Municipality, Mahagadhimai Municipality, Bishrampur Rural Municipality of Bara and Pakaha Mainpur Rural Municipality of Parsa have not presented their budgets so far.TAG_OPEN_div_10 Similarly, Suddhodhan Rural Municipality of Lumbini Province has not yet presented its budget for the current fiscal year.
