Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has handed over a computer to the Department of Industry. FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal handed over the computers to Director General of the Department, Rajeshwor Gyawali, at the Department of Industry on Wednesday.
The Federation has provided computers to the Department as per the request of the Department after the fire in the premises of the Department during the agitation on September 7 and 24 destroyed the computers and other equipment. On the occasion, FNCCI president Chandra Prasad Dhakal said the quality of service delivery would be improved only through collaboration between private sector and state bodies.
“We are happy to be able to provide a small support from the FNCCI in mitigating the losses faced by the Department of Industry,” he said, adding that the FNCCI and the department would continue cooperation in the days to come.
“The federation needs collaboration between the private sector and government bodies. We believe that this collaboration will contribute to institutional capacity building. Dhakal said. On the occasion, Director General of Department of Industry, Rajeshwor Gyawali, said that the agitation that took place on September 7 and 24 caused a huge loss to the department’s physical materials. He said that this support from the Federation would ease the day-to-day operation of the Department.
