Kathmandu. Citizens Bank has paid Rs 1,65,32,000 to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the last fiscal year. The CEO has paid Rs 68,75,024 as tax to the state for the salary he received. After tax, the CEO has received Rs 96,56,976. On an average, the state has to pay 39 percent of the tax.
The bank has paid Rs 84,000 as salary to the CEO. Similarly, Rs 5.4 million has been paid as allowance, Rs 11.50 lakh as Dashain allowance, Rs 840,000 as provident fund contribution, Rs 700,000 as leave and Rs 42,000 as other fees.
The bank has provided the CEO with drivers, fuel and maintenance of vehicles. The bank has provided medical treatment and insurance to the CEO. It has also provided medical insurance to his dependents. Likewise, the bank has provided mobile phone expenses and other facilities to the CEO and all the executive officers of the executive level as per the Employee Services Bylaw of the bank.
Similarly, the bank has paid Rs 39,85,500 to the directors. This includes Rs 29.36 lakh as meeting allowance. Similarly, it has paid Rs 1 million 49 thousand 500 for telephone, mobile, fuel and newspapers. According to the bank, the chairman of the bank has been provided with a vehicle facility for office purpose.
