Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Genji Front has submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission (EC) demanding to provide practical access to voting rights to non-resident Nepali citizens and Nepalis living in districts other than their home districts.
Front’s campaign committee member Amrita Ban, Karnali province liaison person Binita Bogati, FRONT members Rishi Thapa, Nabin Bista, Adarsha Karna, Diamond Shahi among others presented the demand letter to the EC. After submitting the demand letter, Karnali Province liaison person Bogati said that they have submitted the demand letter to the Commission.
The demand letter states that the government should not deprive the government of its constitutional rights in the pretext of legal and technical complexities. They have demanded that the provision of voting for non-resident Nepalis be implemented immediately from the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives.
