Kathmandu. On Tuesday, the third trading day of the week, the stock market saw a slight improvement. On Tuesday, the NEPSE index increased by 5.32 points to close at 2,655.99 points. Today, the sensitive index has increased by 1.39 points, while the float index has increased by 0.40 points and the sensitive float index has increased by 0.41 points.
Although the stock market rose on Tuesday, the volume of transactions decreased. Shares worth more than Rs 7 billion were traded on Monday, while shares worth Rs 5.82 billion were traded on Tuesday. Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of nine sub-groups increased on Tuesday. The index of the remaining 4 sub-groups declined.
The hotel and tourism sub-group index increased the most by 1.40 percent today. Likewise, the production and processing sub-group index increased by more than 1 percent today. The trade sub-group index decreased the most by 1.33 percent on the day.
Shares of three companies traded at positive circuit levels today. Shares of Jhapa Energy, Sagar Distillery and Srinagar Agritech Industries were traded in the positive circuit level on the day. Shares of Joshi Hydropower Company Ltd fell the most today. The company’s share price fell 4.96 percent.
On the basis of transaction amount, Bandipur Cable Car and Tourism is in the top position on this day. The company’s shares worth Rs 26.99 crore were traded today. Similarly, shares worth Rs 240 million were traded today of Himalayan Re Insurance.
