Kathmandu. Hospitals across the country have been closed except emergency services on Monday on the call of The Nepal Medical Association against the consumer court’s decision.

The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) on Monday suspended services at health facilities across the country, saying the recent verdicts of the Consumer Court have interfered with the jurisdiction of the Nepal Medical Council and discouraging the doctors and creating an unsafe environment.

The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) had launched the agitation since July 15. General Secretary of the Association. Sanjib Tiwari said in a statement that all services except emergency services will be closed in hospitals and health institutions across the country.
