Kathmandu. LXG Motors Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Laxmi Group, has launched China’s famous commercial electric vehicle brand ‘Carry’ in the Nepali market. Electric vans of Kevan 1 and Kevan 2 variants have been launched at the Naima Mobility Expo at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu today.
The company believes that these vans will be useful for both professional and educational sectors. The price of the van has been fixed at Rs 5.85 million and Rs 6.3million respectively.
Designed specifically for Nepal, these vans will be available with 15 and 16 seats. In addition, ‘commercial variant’ in modern brown color for commercial purposes and school variant in protective yellow color for school÷college purposes have been made available. The school variant includes the highest safety standards and special features to ensure the safety of children.
Key features and technical details:
These electric vans are equipped with a 53 kWh LFP CATL battery, which provides a range of more than 300 km on a single full charge. Both models are fitted with permanent permanent permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). It produces 130-270 Nm of rated-peak torque and 50-80 kW of rated-peak power.
These electric vans of Carry have the highest ground clearance of 180 mm suitable for Nepali roads. Equipped with front disc and drum brake at the rear, these vans can get safety features including ABS, EBD and Fire Exsanguisor.
