Kathmandu. At present, the monsoon trough is located on the north side of the southern region, in the Terai of Nepal. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, although there is an impact of monsoon across the country, the effect of water vapor-rich air seems to be somewhat weak.

According to the Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly and tarai regions of Lumbini, Karnali and SudurPashchim provinces and at a few places of the rest of the hilly region of the country. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of koshi, Karnali and Sudur paschim provinces, including Tarai of Lumbini province.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at a few places of the hilly and tarai regions of the rest of the provinces. Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, according to a bulletin published by the Division.
