Curfew has been imposed in these three areas of Lalitpur from 7 am to midnight today.

Lalitpur. The District Administration Office of Lalitpur has imposed curfew in some areas of Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

Chief District Officer Suman Ghimire issued the curfew from 7:00 am to 12:00 midnight today in accordance with Clause 6 (a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028.

As per the curfew order, some areas within wards 2, 4, 9, 18 and 25 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City have been designated as boundary forts and no person is allowed to move around, gathering, procession, demonstration, assembly, meeting or gherao within the Lalitpur Metropolitan City’s Ward No. 2, 4, 9, 18 and 25.

Areas where curfew orders have been issued

Bhaisepati Constituency 9 Wards 4, 18 and 25: The road from Bhaisepati to Bungmati in the east, CG Housing and Chobhar Galchhi road in the west, Bishnudevi Temple below Gayatri Petrol Pump in the north, and the slope leading to Itani in the south.

Sanepa Constituency (Ward No. 2): The road from Sanepa Chowk to Indrayani Temple in the east, the Bagmati corridor road from Balkhu Bridge to Manmohan Park in the west, the Ring Road service lane from Balkhu Bridge to Sanepa Chowk in the north, the road leading from Indrayani Temple to Bagmati Corridor in the south.

Chyasal Area (Ward No. 9): Suspension bridge over Manoharakhola corridor in the east, Chyasal Stadium in the west, Manohara Khola in the north, and the road leading to the Mal Pokhari in the south.

Chief District Officer Ghimire said the curfew order was issued to maintain peace and security and to control possible untoward activities.
