Bhairahawa. The District Administration Office of Rupandehi has imposed a district-wide prohibitory order.

The District Administration Office has imposed the prohibitory order from 9:30 am today until further notice. The order issued by Chief District Officer Tokraj Pandey as per Clause 6 (3) (a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 (with amendment) states that the assembly of more than five people is not allowed in the area where the prohibitory order has been imposed. Similarly, protest programmes like hunger strike, sit-in, gherao procession, demonstration and assembly have been completely banned.

The District Administration Office has said that action will be taken against anyone who does not comply with the order or obstructs the order.
