Magnitude 7.4 earthquake hits Philippines

Kathmandu. An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck off the coast of Mindanao in the Philippines. The U.S. Geological Survey measured 7.4 on the Richter scale.

The quake struck in the eastern part of the island of Mindanao, about 123 kilometers (123 kilometers) from the island’s capital Davao and at a depth of 58.1 kilometers. No major damage has been reported.

The Philippine government has issued a tsunami warning after the quake. On September 30, a magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Cebu province, killing 69 people and injuring 150.
