Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki has sought information about the progress made in the process of appointing a general manager in Nepal Airlines Corporation through open competition.
In her capacity as the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, she called Ministry Secretary Hari Mainali at her office and asked for progress report. Prime Minister Karki had formed a selection committee under the coordination of Secretary Mainali on November 30 to appoint the NOC general manager through open competition. Captain KB Limbu will be an expert member of the committee while the Joint Secretary will be the member secretary of the Planning and Administration Division of the Ministry.
Secretary Mainali said that in the meantime, the work procedure has been worked out and they had to go out for some time. The first meeting of the committee will be held today, he said.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Karki directed the authorities to publish the notice calling for applications for the open competition without any delay.
