Babilal Lama arrested for swindling millions of rupees to send him to Cambodia

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested a person on the charge of cheating millions of rupees on the pretext of sending them to Cambodia.

The arrested is 41-year-old Babilal Lama of Thori rural municipality-4 in Parsa, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Rameshwor Karki.

He said, “They were arrested acting upon a complaint lodged by the victim that they went out of contact after taking Rs 435,000 in Cambodia for employment and kept them in the house for a long time and were not sent abroad.” ”

He was arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 and sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal today itself for further investigation and necessary action, said spokesperson Karki.
