Kathmandu. The Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection (DoM), which has been regularly monitoring and monitoring the market, has penalized three firms.
The department imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 on Pokharel Traders, Rs 10,000 on Sulabh Kirana and Food Suppliers and Rs 5,000 on Sheetal Food Store Lalitpur. According to the Department, the firms were fined as part of action for not working as per the ‘F’ 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075.
Similarly, the tea bowl Pvt Ltd has been directed to present itself at the department within three days after collecting documents related to the business. The department has issued corrective directives to 10 other firms.
The Department has been carrying out regular market monitoring with the presence of local administration and consumer rights activists to systematize the market and enforce the laws.
