KATHMANDU: KATHMANDU: Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has been conducting various CSR programs in the areas of financial literacy, education, health, disaster management, environment conservation, cultural promotion, infrastructure construction and improvement, sustainable development goals, human service and philanthropy.
These programs have been launched in collaboration with Lions Club of Kathmandu Gurans in collaboration with Lions Club of Kathmandu Gurans. Financial assistance has been provided to run a comprehensive health camp at Shree Gandhakuti Vihar, Khokana, Ward No. 21. The camp offered breast cancer, cervical cancer, colon cancer screening, diabetes and thyroid screening as well as general health and dental check-ups.
Similarly, the bank in collaboration with Traffic Police Circle, Maharajgunj, Kathmandu has handed over road furniture with various traffic signs to reduce road accidents, manage vehicles and solve the problem of unsystematic parking on the road, footpath and various places.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Dalit Empowerment Centre Nepal has launched a programme aimed at preserving, modernizing and certifying traditional vocational skills, professions and arts to enhance capacity building and economic self-reliance. Sewing machines have been distributed to locals from 1 to 6.
Similarly, Siddharthanagar Municipality Ward No. The financial assistance for the construction of playground at Shree Bhanu Secondary School, Bhanupath, 9, Bhanupath has been provided by the bank’s Bhairahawa branch. The bank has helped in the construction work to make arrangements for the drainage of water by placing explosives in the playground.
