. KATHMANDU: The Academy of Medical Sciences (Bir Hospital) has formed a rapid response team with specialist doctors in view of the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives on March 4.

Director of Bir Hospital, Dr Dilip Sharma, said that the team was formed in view of the possible health emergency.

The hospital has formed a 26-member team under the coordination of Dr Suresh Prasad Nepal, Chief of the Emergency Department.

The team consists of specialist doctors, nursing administrators and drug management chiefs.
