Rupandehi. A youth died and another was injured in a road accident at Devdaha of Rupandahi last night.

According to the Area Police Office, Devdaha, the bus (Lupra 01-001 Kha 0816) en route to Kathmandu from Butwal hit the scooter (Lu 92 Pa 7990) coming from the opposite direction at Ghodaha Kanta chowk at Devdaha-9. Sunil Pandey, 28, of Devdaha-5 was critically injured in the accident that took place at around 10.30 pm.

Pandey died while undergoing treatment at Devdaha Medical College, Bhaluhi, Police Inspector Bhimsen Bista said.

Scooter rider Krishna Paija, 28, of Devdaha-5 was injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment at Devdaha Medical College, police said. Police said further investigation into the accident is underway.
