Mahendranagar. Kanchanpur: Two persons including election police personnel have been killed in Kanchanpur.

The election police personnel deputed at Punarbas Municipality died today while undergoing treatment. The deceased has been identified as Man Singh Rana, 35, of Laljhadi Rural Municipality-3, Balmi and deputed at Jeevanshakti Basic polling centre in Sitabasti of Punarbas municipality-9, according to District Police Office Spokesperson Hem Bahadur Shahi.

He fell unconscious while cooking food on Monday night and died while undergoing treatment at Nisarg Hospital in Dhangadhi. Rana was diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes, said spokesperson Shahi.

Similarly, a youth died in a motorcycle accident. The deceased has been identified as Niraj Chaudhary, 23, of Bhagatpur of Bhimdutta municipality-18.

The accident took place when the motorcycle (Ma 1 Pa 8045) driven by Chaudhary was heading to Suda from Bedkot-7. Seriously injured in the accident, he died at Maya Metro Hospital in Dhangadhi today, according to the District Police Office, Kanchanpur. The injured are Sagar Chaudhary, 22, and Pramod Chaudhary, 19, of Bhagatpur. Both of them are undergoing treatment in Dhangadhi, police said. According to the police, the motorcycle lost control and collided with an electric pole.
