Home Ministry concerned about money laundering, requests to provide confidential information

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has urged for the necessary support to reduce financial investment in money laundering.

Issuing a press release today, the Ministry has urged the bodies concerned to privately disclose any information or reasonable grounds that might meet the criteria set out by a proposal related to the enlisted individual, group or organisation of the United Nations, the Security Council.

The Ministry has urged any person, agency or institution to inform about any unauthorized act if it is found committing any unauthorized act in the course of its work.

The Ministry has requested the local administration office, local administration and province coordination section to inform the nearest district administration office. The request was made by the Ministry as per the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2064 and the Money Laundering Prevention Rules, 2081.
