. KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has removed a microfinance institution from the list of troubled individuals. The central bank has allowed regular transactions to be carried out by removing the problematic ones.

According to the Nepal Rastra Bank’s Microfinance Institution Supervisory Supervision Department, Dang-based Sanjivani Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (erstwhile Super Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd) based in Tulsipur, Dang has been removed from the list of problematic institutions and allowed it to carry out regular financial transactions.

“Sanjivani Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (formerly Super Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd.), Tulsipur, Dang, was declared as a problematic financial institution by the public notice dated 2079-05-22 in view of the condition of clauses (a), (b), (d), (f) and (j) of Section 86B of the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 (2058/22). This notice has been published,” the notice states.
