Kathmandu. At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of the country with the influence of the Westerly and local winds.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, said the weather in Tarai region is mainly clear.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, light rain and snowfall is taking place in hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province and Karnali Province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi Province as well as in the mountainous region of the country while the weather will be partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai region towards the afternoon.

Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi Province and at a few places of the Gandaki Province and at one or two places of the mountainous region.

Similarly, there will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region tonight. Light rain and snowfall are likely at one or two places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
