Kathmandu. Pokhara—Pokhara Metropolitan City (Pokhara) has launched a free shuttle bus service to provide reliable, reliable and affordable transportation to air passengers travelling from Pokhara International Airport to Amsingh Chowk.
The cost of the free shuttle bus service will be borne by Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank.
Pokhara Metropolitan City will operate two electric bus services from Pokhara International Airport to Amarsingh Chowk every day. The buses, which will operate from 6 am to 10 pm, will provide beneficial service to the passengers to reach the main road. At present, passengers have to travel around 2 kilometers to reach the main road from Pokhara International Airport.
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has decided to bear the operating cost of the buses which will be provided free of cost to all the passengers till mid-July 2083. Chief Executive Officer of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Ishwori Prasad Pokharel and Regional Chief of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Shiva Kumar Dhakal signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, regional chief Dhakal expressed happiness for the bank being able to support the local government in such works for the general public. On the occasion, Administrative Officer Pokharel thanked the metropolis for supporting the free shuttle bus service.
