Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) has sought clarification from Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Himalayan Reinsurance Company and 5 senior managers.

According to sources, NEA has sought clarification from CEO Upsana Poudel, Deputy CEO Mukesh Kumar Kapoor, Executive Directors Manish Kumar, Shishir Gaire and Santosh KC as to why they should not be suspended.

According to sources, the 7-day clarification has been sought in the first phase after questions were raised about the company’s financial crisis, the activities of the directors were not monitored, why the promoter shareholders were ignoring the wrong activities in the company and why the non-life insurance companies were not paid on time.

It is said that if the NRA does not reply to them within 7 days of issuing the letter, they will be dismissed.
