Kathmandu. The Department of Immigration (DoI) has relieved two officers of the Department of Immigration from their duties.
Issuing a press release today, Department Spokesperson and Director Tikaram Dhakal said that the Department has not had any policy or decision to allow the departure of Nepali citizens with conditions.
They have been removed from their office responsibilities at Tribhuvan International Airport. The government had protested saying that the passport of any Nepali citizen departing for the United Arab Emirates would not be allowed to work against the policy along with the stamp of departure. A probe committee has been formed on April 13 to investigate into the matter, the statement added.
