Writ petition filed against Attorney General Dr Kandel begins hearing in Judge Regmi’s bench

Kathmandu. Attorney General Dr. Narayan Dutta Kandel’s appointment has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) today.

Three complaints were filed against him on Wednesday. All the three complaints are being heard. Dr. Advocates Madhav Kumar Basnet, Deepak Raj Joshi and Shivaraj Baral have filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court, arguing that Kandel’s appointment is unconstitutional.

To become an Attorney General, one should have a bachelor’s degree in law and has practiced as a senior advocate or advocate for at least 15 years continuously and has worked in the field of justice or law for at least 15 years and has gained a reputation as a distinguished lawyer. The petition states that he has not practiced law for 15 consecutive years.

The Office of the President, Shital, Prime Minister Balendra Shah, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Prime Minister, Singha Durbar, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Prime Minister, the Office of the Attorney General, Ram Shah Path, and the Attorney General, Dr. Kandel have been named as defendants in the petition. Kandel has been named as a defendant in the petition.
