Heatwave likely in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces

Kathmandu. At present, there is partial influence of westerly and local winds in the country while partly cloudy in the mountainous region as well as in the Terai region of Koshi Province. The weather is mainly clear in other parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas including Koshi Province towards the afternoon while the weather will be partly cloudy in the rest of the areas.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Light to TAG_OPEN_div_12 moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi Province, at a few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of the Bagmati Province and the Gandaki Province, and at a few places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, there is a possibility of an increase in the temperature in the Terai as well as valleys and valleys of Madhes Province, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces. There is a possibility of heat wave in the Terai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province.

Tonight, there will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region, partly cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in the Tarai. Light rain and snowfall are likely to occur in some places of the mountainous region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
