Kathmandu. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is possibility of rain and lightning in some places of the country due to the partial influence of the Westerly and local winds.

At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces while the weather is partly cloudy in other mountainous and hilly regions. The weather in the Tarai region is mainly clear. Moderate rainfall and snowfall is taking place in some parts of these provinces.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country and partly cloudy in the Tarai region towards the afternoon today. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous and hilly region of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, and at a few places of Tarai and hilly region of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be generally cloudy in the mountainous region and partly cloudy in the hilly and terai region tonight. Light rain or snowfall is likely to occur at some places of the mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.

Also, the temperature is expected to increase gradually in most parts of the country. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted that the temperature will increase in the Terai, valley and valley of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. The Meteorological Department has requested the people of these areas to take precautions.
