Salpa Development Bank’s Profit Declines, Bad Loans Decline

Kathmandu. Salpa Development Bank’s profit is negative. The bank’s net profit stood at Rs 31.89 lakh as of mid-April of the current financial year.

In the same period last year, the bank was negative at Rs 35.84 lakh. The interest income of the bank has improved during this period. This has helped in reducing the losses of the bank.

As of mid-April, the distributable profit of the bank stood at Rs 1.65 crore.

The bank’s net interest income increased by 6.77 percent to Rs 5.57 crore. The bank’s bad loans declined from 6.92 percent to 3.35 percent as of mid-April.

The bank’s impairment charge has come down from Rs 1.66 crore to Rs 97.98 lakh.

The bank’s earnings per share is negative at 81 paise and the net worth per share is Rs 103.75 crore. The bank has a paid-up capital of Rs 52.23 crore and a reserve fund of Rs 1,95,94,000. The bank has collected deposits of Rs 1,49,43,37,000 and extended loans of Rs 1,197,75,21,000 till mid-April.
