Norwegian government keen to collaborate in Nepal’s education sector

Kathmandu. Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Dagnie Myos paid a courtesy call on Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokhrel at the latter’s office in Singha Durbar today.

During the meeting held at the Ministry on Monday, they discussed the cooperation and cooperation of the Norwegian government in the areas of education, science and technology and sports in Nepal.

The discussion was focused on the priorities of the present government and the continuity of Norway’s support to Nepal in school education and future partnership.

During the meeting, Minister Pokharel thanked the Norwegian government for its support in the field of school education especially in the areas of inclusion, equity, fundamental learning and climate smart education system.

Appreciating the excellence of Norwegian education system, Minister Pokharel expressed the view that Nepal could learn a lot from Norway’s education system and technology, and his ministry was ready to meet it.

Ambassador to Nepal Dagnie Myos pledged to give continuity to Norway’s support to Nepal in school education. On the occasion, the Norwegian ambassador said he was well aware of the government’s hundred-point priorities and the Norwegian government was keen to collaborate more in the education sector.
