Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of swindling millions of rupees on the pretext of sending them abroad for foreign employment.

The arrestees have been identified as Shakti Rai, 31, of Solukhumbu Solududhkunda Municipality-1, Bimala Dong, 39, of Panchpokhari Rural Municipality-1, Sindhupalchowk and Roshan Tamang, 31, of Gokarneshwor Municipality-5, Kathmandu.

“Those arrested were arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by the victims that Shakti took Rs 195,000 in the name of sending them to New Zealand, Rs 13.60 lakh on the promise of sending them to Azerbaijan and Rs 2.4 million in the name of Roshan sending them to Canada,” he said. ’

They were arrested from different places of Kathmandu and sent to Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu today for necessary investigation and actions, said spokesperson Karki.
