Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Acting Managing Director Dirgha Ayu Shrestha has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Biraj Bhakta Shrestha appointed him as the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation on Wednesday.

He was the Deputy Executive Director of the Distribution and Customer Service Directorate at NEA. Earlier, Hitendra Dev Shakya was appointed as the executive director of the company. He was automatically relieved of his post as per the Special Provision Ordinance, 2083 BS promulgated by the government. Shrestha has been appointed as the executive director of the company.
