Kathmandu. The remittance inflow has increased significantly till mid-April of the current fiscal year. During this period, the remittance inflow increased by 39.1 percent to Rs. According to the Nepal Rastra Bank, it has reached Rs 1,659.41 billion.
The remittance inflow had grown by 10.2 per cent the year before that. In the month of Chaitra 2082 B.S. alone, Rs. 209.75 billion remittances have been received in the country. In the same month of the previous year, Rs. Remittances amounting to Rs 139.54 billion have been inflowed.
Likewise, the remittance inflow has increased by 31.9 per cent to reach Rs 11.55 billion in US Dollars. The remittance inflow had grown by 9.6 per cent the year before that.
During the review period, the second income (self-transfer) was Rs. In the same period of the previous year, the income was Rs. 1.820 billion. It was Rs 1,303.12 billion.
Likewise, the number of Nepalis taking final labour permit (institutional and personal – new) towards foreign employment has reached 294,186 while the number of those who have taken re-labour permit is 293,259. Such cases were 358,222 and 249,652 respectively in the same period of the previous year.
