Humla. A landslide that occurred last night at Nepka village of Changkheli rural municipality-5 in Humla district has damaged the building of a basic school at Danfe of Changkheli rural municipality-5.
Chhakka Bahadur Tamang, a resident of Changkheli-5, said that the landslide caused damages to the school building as well as farmland and cowsheds.
The landslide has also buried the sheds of ward chairs of Changkheli-5 Harka Dhan Tamang and Dhan Singh Tamang. The sheep and goats there have been damaged. Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shanker Khadka, informed that the details of the loss are yet to be ascertained.
He said that the police team has already left for the landslide-affected area. Chankheli rural municipality lies in the northeast from the district headquarters Simkot and consists of Tallo Pali, Upper Pali, Piplang and Nepka. It takes around five hours on foot to reach Nepka village which is far away from Piplang, the centre of the rural municipality.
