Passport delivered at home in Jumla

Jumla. The District Administration Office, Jumla, has started delivering passports to the doorsteps of service seekers through postal service.

A total of 149 passports have been delivered to the doorsteps of the service seekers in all eight local levels of the district, said Nar Bahadur Budha, chief of the Passport Section of the District Administration Office, Jumla.TAG_OPEN_div_34

As per the agreement reached between the District Administration Office and the District Post Office, Jumla, 61 passports were distributed at the doorstep of the service seekers on May 7.TAG_OPEN_div_32

Similarly, 19 passports were delivered to their homes on May 12 and 25 passports on May 19.TAG_OPEN_div_30

According to Chief District Officer Deepak Poudel, the passport will be issued to the service seekers for the first time in the district under the 100-day agenda for governance reforms approved by the government on March 2 TAG_OPEN_div_28 7.

Arrangements have been made to deliver the passport to the home of the holder through the District Post Office. While obtaining a passport, one has to carry official documents (citizenship, national identity card, voter list).

Chief District Officer Poudel said that if the passport has to be obtained through any other person, it is necessary to have a document showing the relative of the concerned person.TAG_OPEN_div_24

Ganesh Dutta Rawal, officiating chief of the Jumla Postal Office, has signed an agreement with the district administration to accept passports through postal service.TAG_OPEN_div_22

According to the District Post Office, Jumla, the postal office will safely deliver the passport to the doorstep of the service seekers within a maximum of three days for the delivery of passports at the doorstep of the citizens.TAG_OPEN_div_20
