Life Insurance Company has done business of more than one and a half billion: Nepal Life is number one, how much of others?

. Life insurance companies have done more than Rs 1.5 billion in business till mid-April of the current fiscal year. According to the data of the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 life insurance companies have done business worth Rs 156.17 billion till mid-April.

During this period, the companies have issued 1,16,84,883 policies and collected a premium equivalent to the amount.TAG_OPEN_div_42 In the month of April alone, life insurance companies have issued 402,763 policies and have done insurance business worth Rs 15.71 billion.

Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has done the highest number of insurance business till mid-April.TAG_OPEN_div_40 The company has earned Rs 41.16 billion in insurance premium by selling 19,22,619 insurance policies till mid-April of the current FY.

Similarly, National Life Insurance Company (NLIC) has issued 1,315,661 insurance policies with a turnover of Rs 19.02 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_38

During the period, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) issued 6,96,292 policies and generated a turnover of Rs 16.84 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_36 During the period, the company collected Rs 14.55 billion in insurance premiums.

Rastriya Life Insurance Company has issued 628 insurance policies with a net worth of Rs 10.09 billion and MetLife has a business of Rs 5.49 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_34

Similarly, Nepal Life Insurance earned Rs 8.01 billion, IME Life earned Rs 5.50 billion and Sun Nepal Life earned Rs 3.55 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_32

Reliable Nepal Life Insurance earned Rs 4.94 billion while Citizen Life Insurance earned Rs 6.78 billion in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.TAG_OPEN_div_30

In the first 10 months of the current FY, Surya Jyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 9.50 billion, Sanima Life Insurance Rs 5.98 billion and Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Rs 4.70 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_28

Micro insurance companies have issued 24,37,024 insurance policies till mid-April and did business of Rs 96.56 crore.
