Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah said that Nepal has also encroached upon Indian land.

He said this while answering questions from lawmakers on Sunday. He said that he also came to know about this only after he became the Prime Minister and the problem would be resolved through talks between Nepal and India. Stating that new facts have been found on the border issue after he became the Prime Minister, he said that the border was found to have been encroached by both sides.

“After becoming the Prime Minister, it has come to the notice that India has encroached not only Nepal’s land but also Nepal’s land in many places,” he said. ’

Prime Minister Sah stressed that both countries should carry out joint study to find out the exact situation of the border. He said the government aims to resolve the problems surfaced in the border areas through discussions as a friendly nation.

He made it clear that they were committed to resolving the issue amicably after carrying out a detailed study on how much land has been encroached by which side.
