Kathmandu. The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred and posted 18 joint secretaries. The ministry today transferred 12 chief district officers and six joint secretaries. Joint secretaries under the Ministry have been given new responsibilities as Chief District Officers in various districts while other officers who have completed their tenure have been transferred from one district to another.

Joint Secretary Nirajan Ghimire has been appointed as the Chief District Officer of Syangja, Kuman Singh Gurung has been appointed as the Chief District Officer of Kaski and Laxmi Pandey Gautam has been appointed as the Chief District Officer of Dhading. Likewise, CDO of Syangja Shyam Krishna Thapa has been transferred to Nawalparasi East to Nawalparasi Bhabiswor Pandey to Palpa, CDO of Surkhet to Nawalparasi East to Nawalparasi to Nalaghat Susta East, CDO of Ramechhap Shyam Krishna Thapa to Saptari, Kaski CDO Rudra Devi Sharma to the Chief District Officer of Dhankuta and Sankhuwasabha CDO Srijana Thapaliya to Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office Kathmandu.

Likewise, CDO of Okhaldhunga has been sent to Okhaldhunga, CDO of Dhading Bijaya Raj Subedi to Sarlahi, Lalpa CDO Binu Bajracharya to Ramechhap, Udayapur CDO Dharma Raj Joshi to Surkhet CDO and Sarlahi CDO Ramuraj Kadariya to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Ministry’s Spokesperson Joint Secretary Ananda Kafle said the transfer and posting of CDOs is a regular administrative process. According to him, the Ministry of Home Affairs or the joint secretaries who have been transferred under the Ministry of Home Affairs have been given responsibility as per the decision of the Council of Ministers, and the Chief District Officer has been managed elsewhere to fill the vacant posts in the districts and the CDO who has completed his term has been managed elsewhere.

The Ministry has deputed Joint Secretary Balaram Niraula at the Immigration Office, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Bhairahawa. Joint-Secretary Pradip Kumar Koirala has been transferred to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and Joint-Secretary Krishna Poudel to the Department of National Identity Card and Registration.
