Govt to take action if incommunicado not report to civil servants within 3 days

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration has issued a notice after receiving information and complaints that some civil servants who are on study leave and extraordinary leave have not attended their respective offices regularly after the expiry of their leave, have not been in contact with the office for a long time and personal details are not updated in the National Records Office.

According to the notice published by the Ministry, the employees who have not updated the records related to study leave and extraordinary leave in the National Archives (Civil Service) must get their records updated within three days from the date of publication of the notice.

Likewise, all ministries, commissions, secretariats and central level offices have been requested to confirm the details of the employees who have been granted study leave or extraordinary leave at different times by their bodies, whether or not the employees have been present after the expiry of leave period and other necessary details by coordinating with the National Records Office (Bureau) and update the records within three days.

The Ministry has also indicated that necessary action will be taken as per the prevailing law in the case of the employees who have not been present in the office even after the completion of study and extraordinary leave or have not been in contact with the office for a long time.

The notice has been issued to make the records management in the civil service systematic, transparent and accountable and to ensure up-to-date details about the actual status of civil servants.
