Gorkha. Prabhu Bank has handed over a smart board to Annapurna Secondary School under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The equipment was provided to the school at the initiative of the bank’s Gandaki Business Centre and Palungtar branch.
According to the bank, the smart board has been provided to the schools with the objective of connecting students with modern and quality education by increasing the access of technology in education.
The use of smart board is expected to make digital teaching-learning process more effective, interactive and technology-friendly in schools.
The World Bank believes that such programs will contribute to preparing capable, efficient, and competitive citizens for the future by acquainting students with the latest technology at a time when the world is rapidly moving towards digital transformation.
The bank has been implementing various CSR programs with priority to education, innovation and community development. The smart board handover program is expected to promote quality education in schools as well as help bridge the digital divide.
School management committee, teachers, students and local stakeholders participated in the smart board handing over the board. The participants appreciated the bank’s social work and expressed confidence that it would contribute significantly to the educational development of the students.
The bank has stated that it will continue such social responsibility programs in the areas of education, health and community development in the days ahead.
