The Ministry of Health has decided to recover Rs 1.78 crore from 11 health institutions that do not pay the fee according to the number of beds.

Kathmandu. As per the directives of Minister for Health and Food and Hygiene Nisha Mehta, the Ministry has decided to recover a total of Rs 1,78,84,000 from 11 health institutions that have not paid the fees as per the number of beds.

The Ministry has forwarded the decision in the implementation process to ensure good governance, transparency and legal accountability in the health sector. According to the Ministry, the process of recovering the arrears has been forwarded addressing the issues pointed out by the Auditor General’s report.

On the occasion, Minister Mehta said that the Ministry was committed to making the health sector more systematic, responsible and law-compliant.
