Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Bindra Hada Bhattarai has been appointed as the board member of Global IME Bank. A meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on Friday decided to appoint Bhattarai to the post of independent woman director.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, chairman of the bank, welcomed Bhattarai to the board amidst a special ceremony today.
Bhattarai has more than three and a half decades of experience in the field of public administration, good governance and development management. Bhattarai has also worked at the Ministry of Irrigation, Nepal Trust, National Planning Commission, National Information Commission, Women, Children and Social Welfare and Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Public Administration from Tribhuvan University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, and has completed higher education in Public Policy (Trade and Finance) from the University of North Carolina in the USA and Non-Profit Management from Duke University.
She is currently an executive member of South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment and an independent director of Professional Holdings.
The bank believes his arrival will help advance the bank’s business strategy, CSR and SDGs in a more refined manner.
