Kathmandu. Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal has arrived in Beijing on a four-day visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi. He left for there last night.

According to the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, he arrived here this afternoon as per the local time. He was received at the airport by Nepal’s Charge d’ Affaires to China Roshan Khanal and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China.

The Embassy of Nepal is organizing a reception in honour of Foreign Minister Khanal this evening. The Foreign Minister will also interact with the Nepali community on the occasion.

The Foreign Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang on further strengthening Nepal-China relations and further strengthening mutual cooperation. He is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with China’s top officials.

Minister Khanal is scheduled to participate in the Investment Summit to be organised by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing and also hold discussions with Chinese industrialists and businessmen. Minister Khanal is scheduled to return home on June 17.
