Kathmandu. As of mid-April 2018, 20 commercial banks have invested a total of Rs 139.62 billion in margin nature loans. According to the data of Nepal Rastra Bank, such loan investment has increased by 2.13 percent compared to mid-April. As of mid-April, the banks’ share loan stood at Rs 136.71 billion.
Nabil Bank has been the largest lender till Baisakh. The bank has issued collateral loans worth Rs 17.68 billion, which is 1.64 percent higher than the previous year. Global IME Bank is in the second position. The bank’s collateral loan stood at Rs 14.46 billion, an increase of 5.29 percent in the first month.
Similarly, Kumari Bank has collateral loan of Rs 10.91 billion, Prime Commercial Bank Rs 9.82 billion, Laxmi Sunrise Bank Rs 9.50 billion and Siddhartha Bank Rs 9.06 billion.
Agricultural Development Bank has issued loan of Rs 8.70 billion, Rastriya Banijya Bank Rs 8.48 billion, Nepal Bank Rs 6.69 billion and Prabhu Bank Rs 6.25 billion.
