House of Representatives: 12 lawmakers present proposal to reduce expenditure of various ministries to Rs 1

. The discussion on the Appropriation Bill, 2083 has begun in the House of Representatives. Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has started discussions on the appropriation headings of nine different ministries.

The meeting will discuss the appropriation headings of youth, labour and employment, industry, commerce and supplies, agriculture, forest and environment, information and communication, culture, tourism and civil aviation, education and sports, health and food hygiene, land management, cooperatives, federal affairs and general administration and women, children, gender and sexual minority and social security TAG_OPEN_div_20 ।

Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal said that there was no zero and special time for today and gave time to the lawmakers who proposed to cut down on expenditure to participate in the discussion on the appropriation heading mentioned with their proposal.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Lawmakers Kriparam Rana, Parbati BK, Jog Kumar Barbariya, Santosh Subba, Neeta Ghatani, Parshuram Tamang, Arjun Kumar Karki, Narendra Kumar Kerung, Ramesh Kumar Malla, Sajida Khatun Siddiqui, Yubaraj Dulal and Eshuda Kumari Baral have presented the proposal seeking reduction of expenditure under the headings of various ministries to one rupee TAG_OPEN_div_16 ।

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle had presented the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2083/84 in the joint session of the Federal Parliament on May 29.TAG_OPEN_div_14 Earlier, general discussion on the budget and the Finance Minister would respond to the budget were held in the meeting.

Prior to this, Speaker Aryal proposed to change the names of members in the thematic committees under the House of Representatives.TAG_OPEN_div_12 The proposal was approved by the assembly.
