Kathmandu. The government has made public 150 decisions taken by the Council of Ministers meeting on different dates. Government spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel made public the decisions of the meeting at a press conference held at the Ministry today.
According to Minister Pokharel, the government on June 29 had approved the expansion of the license capacity of the National Identity Management System (ABIS). Likewise, the meeting also decided to extend the period for providing land to the Middle Bhotekoshi Hydropower Project in lieu of using its forest land.
Earlier, the meeting held on June 9 had taken 16 different decisions. Among them, the criteria related to recommendation of executive director of Nepal Administrative Training Academy, 2083 BS has been approved. Likewise, the meeting endorsed principles for the formulation of the bill related to Nepal Tourism, Hotel and Mountain Academy. Minister Pokharel said that approval in principle has also been given for the formulation of bill related to human body burning disorder and punishment.
Similarly, the meeting held on June 19 decided to form a recommendation committee under the coordination of the Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority. It has also been decided to issue an order prohibiting strikes in essential services.
Similarly, the meeting held on May 19 had endorsed the Civil Servants Welfare Fund (First Amendment) Regulations-2083. In addition to the approval of 977 posts under the Ministry of Health and Food and Hygiene, the Land Related (Twenty-first Amendment) Rules, 2083 and the Children (First Amendment) Rules, 2083 were also approved.
