Kathmandu. Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) has unveiled its policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2083/084 BS.

Mayor of the metropolis Chiribabu Maharjan presented the policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year today.

In the policies and programs of the metropolis, it is stated that in the policies and programs of the metropolis, waste disposal, which is the main problem of all local levels of Kathmandu, has been in constant dialogue with the federal and provincial governments for the solution of the problem in the short-term, medium-term and long-term.

Likewise, the government has been making continuous efforts to operate projects ranging from cycle lane to monorail to ease the problem of public transport in the Kathmandu Valley. Works like survey and identification of local resources are being carried out continuously, not only relying on Melamchi to provide pure drinking water to the municipality residents. Necessary arrangements would be made to bring 13 million liters of water daily from Sisneri River to the metropolis.
