Possibility of rain and snowfall in mountainous and hilly areas

. At present, there is some influence of westerly low pressure trough, local wind and easterly wind in upper atmosphere in Nepal.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, and in the Terai region of Koshi province towards the afternoon.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Similarly, the weather will be partly TAG_OPEN_div_12 cloudy in the hilly region of Lumbini Province and Tarai of Madhes Province while the weather will be mainly fair in the Tarai region. According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at a few places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, at a few places of Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province, and at one or two places of Lumbini, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province.

Moderate TAG_OPEN_div_10 rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at few places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province. Likewise, heat wave is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces while heat wave is likely to occur at some places of the Tarai region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Similarly, there will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces tonight.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas and mainly TAG_OPEN_div_8 fair in the Tarai region of Koshi Province. Light rain or thunder likely to occur at few places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places of the mountainous region of Lumbini and Karnali provinces. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at few places of the Tarai region of Koshi Province.
