Kathmandu. The first national general convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has begun.

Party President Rabi Lamichhane, Prime Minister and senior leader Balendra Shah, Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa, CPN-UML leader Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Nepali Communist Party leader Barshaman Pun and Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Lingden attended the inaugural ceremony.

Likewise, former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Janata Samajbadi Party Chairman Upendra Yadav, Janamat Party Chairman Chandra Kanta Raut, among other leaders attended the inauguration ceremony.

They rang the bell and inaugurated the general convention.

The party has said that 4,211 representatives will participate in the first national general convention of the Rastriya Samajwadi Party (RSP) in Chitwan.
