Kathmandu. It has been revealed that former Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has been arrested on the basis of statements of investors Chunnu Poudel and Kamal Malpani.
The hearing on Poudel’s remand is underway at the Special Court.
Poudel has been accused of selling the shares to businessman Dipak Bhatta at a low price.
The vehicle of Malpani was taken by the incumbent Prime Minister Balen for some time during the election, while Chunnu Poudel was contesting with Bishnu Poudel in Rupandehi. Bishnu and Chunnu lost to RSP’s Sulav Kharel.
